Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis, on Wednesday, announced that Ather Energy, an electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has selected Maharashtra for its third manufacturing facility in Aurangabad Industrial City (AURIC).
This decision involves an investment exceeding ₹2,000 crore and is expected to create approximately 4,000 jobs. The new state-of-the-art plant will have the capacity to produce up to 1 million units of vehicles and battery packs annually.
In a post on X.com, Fadnavis welcomed Ather Energy to Maharashtra and highlighted the significance of this investment in the automotive sector. He shared that during his meeting with Swapnil Jain, founder of Ather Energy, it was confirmed that Maharashtra was chosen as the location for this facility.
