New Delhi: The stock market has registered a huge decline on the last day of trading i.e. Friday, while a huge jump was seen on Thursday. In today's trading session, Sensex and Nifty closed with a decline of about 1 percent. IT, pharma and banking stocks have played an important role in bringing the market down. On Friday, Nifty closed at the level of 24,004.75 after falling 184 points or 0.76%, while Sensex closed at the level of 79,223.11 after falling 720.60 points or 0.90%.

In today's trading session, shares of government-owned oil company ONGC rose the most by 5.21 percent to close at Rs 258.89, while Tata Motors gained 3.32% to close at Rs 790.40. After this, shares of Titan Company rose 1.86% to close at Rs 3,452, while SBI Life rose 1.79% to close at Rs 1,448. Apart from this, shares of HUL rose 1.53% to close at Rs 2,406.

At the same time, Wipro shares fell the most by 3.08% and closed at 294.45, while HDFC Bank shares fell 2.49% to close at 1,749. Apart from this, Tech Mahindra shares fell 2.18% to close at 1,689, while Adani Ports SEZ shares fell 2.16% to close at 1,200. At the same time, ICICI Bank shares fell 1.98% to close at 1,265.

Nifty IT fell heavily

In today's trading, the Nifty FMCG index closed at 57,817 with a gain of 0.25%. The Nifty Metal index rose by 0.08% and closed at 8,730. At the same time, Nifty Auto closed at 24,005 after a fall of 0.05%. Bank Nifty closed at 50,989 after a fall of 1.20%. Nifty Pharma closed at 23,264 with a weakness of 1.23% and Nifty IT closed at 43,727 with a huge fall of 1.41%.
