New Delhi: Delhi Police on Friday handed over the case registered against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on the charges of 'scuffle' in the Parliament premises to the Crime Branch. An official said, 'Now the Crime Branch will investigate this case.' Let us tell you that on Thursday, Delhi Police had registered an FIR against Rahul in connection with the 'scuffle' in the Parliament premises, and now after the case was handed over to the Crime Branch, the troubles of the Congress leader seem to be increasing. On Thursday, members of the ruling party and the opposition came face to face near the 'Makar Dwar' of the Parliament House and raised slogans over the alleged insult of Constitution maker Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar.
There was a scuffle between the opposition and NDA MPs
Meanwhile, a scuffle broke out between opposition and NDA MPs near Makar Dwara in which former minister Pratapchandra Sarangi and BJP Lok Sabha MP Mukesh Rajput were injured. The BJP has filed a police complaint against Rahul Gandhi accusing him of being involved in 'physical assault and provocation' during the 'scuffle' in the Parliament premises. An FIR has been registered against the Congress leader at Sansad Marg police station under sections 117 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt), 115 (voluntarily causing hurt), 125 (act endangering life or personal safety of others), 131 (use of criminal force), 351 (criminal intimidation) and 3(5) (common intention) of the BNS.
Priyanka Gandhi targeted BJP
Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin said on Friday that a decision on furthering the protest against Union Minister Amit Shah's statement on Ambedkar will be taken after consultation with the leaders of the 'INDIA' alliance. The CM also said that Rahul Gandhi will legally face the case registered against him in the case of 'scuffle' in the Parliament premises. At the same time, Congress General Secretary and Rahul's sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra targeted the BJP for registering an FIR against her brother and said that this shows the level of frustration in the ruling party.
