BSNL is soon going to launch a direct-to-mobile BiTV service. Through this service, the government telecom company will show more than 300 live TV channels to users for free. This service of BSNL can give sleepless nights to the DTH and cable TV service providers of the country. The company has launched a fiber based intranet TV (IFTV) service a few days ago. In this, BSNL broadband users can watch more than 500 free live TV channels. This new service of the government telecom company will bring a new experience to mobile users.
BiTV service launched
BSNL has announced its BiTV service from its official X handle. The government telecom company said in its post that BSNL BiTV service is going to change your TV viewing experience. You will be able to watch more than 300 live TV channels, movies and web series on your mobile. This service has currently been made live in Puducherry. Soon, this service will be started all over India. Users will not have to pay any extra charge for BSNL BiTV service. They will be able to access direct-to-mobile BiTV service for free with BSNL SIM.
BSNL launched its 7 new services in the India Mobile Congress (IMC 2024) held this year, which includes IFTV as well as direct-to-mobile service. This direct-to-mobile (D2M) service of BSNL is going to increase the tension of DTH i.e. direct-to-home service providers. Since the advent of OTT, the number of DTH users is decreasing day by day. After the advent of DTM, users will be able to watch live TV channels on their mobile itself.
How to use BSNL IFTV?
To access BSNL's IFTV service, you can download the company's Live TV app directly from Google Play Store on your Android smart TV. This app works only on Android smart TVs. This Live TV service of BSNL has been integrated with the company's commercial fiber-to-the-home (FTTH). Apart from this, BSNL users will also get Video on Demand (VoD) service, which will be integrated into the company's app.
