Delhi assembly elections are scheduled for February 5, and results will be announced on February 8. The candidates were released by BJP and the name of Mohan Singh Bisht is included in all three candidate lists released by BJP and will be contesting on January 29 for the Mustafabad constituency. 

Upon the interception of the minutemen, the senior BJP leader claimed that he had suffered “disappointment” when the Karawal Nagar assembly seat was provided to MP Mishra but after meeting the president of BJP JP Nadda during the evening of the same day he got confirmed of contesting the Mustafabad constituency. 

The candidate list included senior leaders of the party such as Kapil Mishra for Karawal Nagar and Priyanka Gautam, who recently joined AAP, Harish Khurana. Sharma was also a part of the candidate list along with various others. The party has started to mobilize support to tackle AAP by acknowledging these renowned supports. From Moti Nagar to Kondli, many candidates such as these have begun to move indulge in alliance.

BJP’s Dushyant Gautam will take the Karol Bagh seat while Manjinder Singh Sirsa will move for Rajouri Garden. As for the defectors, Kailash Gehlot and Arvinder SIngh Lovely will be taking up the Bijwasan and Gandhi Nagar assembly constituencies respectively.

For the Adarsh Nagar seat Raj Kumar Bhatia has been given the chance from BJP while Deepak Chaudhary, Kulwant Rana, Manoj Shokeen, Rajkumar Chauhan and Vijendra Gupta has been selected for Badli, Rithala, Nangloi Jat, Mangolpuri and Rohini respectively.

While addressing the media Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva said that he will not be running for the post during the next assembly elections rather he will work to the best of his abilities in trying to secure the 70 seats available.
