New Delhi: Today, on January 1, the futures market price of gold and silver is witnessing a rise. Gold became costlier by about Rs 125 and opened at Rs 76873 per 10 grams and silver rose by Rs 135 and is being sold at Rs 87430 per kilogram.
Latest status of Gold Silver on MCX
Today, the gold for futures delivery of 5 February opened at Rs 76772 per 10 grams and by 11:17 am, orders worth Rs 28965 lakhs have been booked. Also, the gold for futures delivery of 4 April opened at Rs 77386 per 10 grams and by the time of writing the news, 2218 lots of gold had been traded, which is worth Rs 1007 lakhs.
In the multi commodity market, the silver of March 5 rose by Rs 135 and opened at Rs 87372 per kg and is trading at 87430, while the silver of May 5 rose by Rs 133 and opened at Rs 89199 per kg and is trading at 89220.

Earlier, on December 31, in the last trading session on MCX, gold for February 5 delivery closed at Rs 76748 per 10 grams, while gold for April 5 futures delivery closed at Rs 77456 per 10 grams.
In the last trading session, silver futures for March 5, 2025 closed at Rs 87233 per kg. Also, silver futures for May 5, 2025 closed at Rs 89066 per kg.
