Gold Rate Today: January 17, 2024 witnessed a slight increase in gold prices. While the price of 22-karat gold was set at Rs 74,500 per 10 gms, the 24 karat gold cost Rs 81,270 per 10 gms. During the past seven days, there has been a 0.59 percent variation from the previous price of 24 karat gold, on the other hand, 24 karat gold has fluctuated by 2.65 percent in the past 30 days.
Mayers suggest there was a sideways look to the MCX gold rate owing to the US Fed rate cut chatter but it held above the Rs 79,000 per 10 gm mark. Popular yellow gold rapidly gained its value and was Rs 79,080 per 10 gm which is around the peak of Rs 79,775 per 10 gm. In the Multi Commodity Exchange, future contracts on gold set for February 2025 started out weak at Rs 79,150 per 10 gm while the price dropped as low as Rs 79,022 during the session.
