New Delhi: After the huge devastation in the US stock, today the Nifty and Sensex in India have also plunged by more than 1 percent. Earlier on Wednesday also, a decline of more than 0.5 percent was registered. At the same time, pressure was seen on Nifty and Sensex throughout the week. Today Nifty closed at the level of 23,952, down 247 points or 1.02%, while the Sensex closed at the level of 79,218, down 964 points or 1.20%.

In fact, the results of the quarterly meeting of the US Federal Reserve came out on Wednesday, in which a cut of 0.25 percent in interest rates has been announced. At the same time, the Fed said that there is a possibility of a cut in only two quarters next year. After this news, the tension of investors increased and there was a huge sell-off in the US market, the effect of which was clearly seen in the Indian stock market today.

Among the gainers, Sun Pharma closed at 1,823 with a gain of 1.24%, while Power Grid's shares closed at 321.65 with a rise of 0.04%. Apart from this, Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) shares closed
at 2,360 with a jump of 0.03%.

Shares of Bajaj Finserv closed at 1,590 with a fall of 2.53%, while Asian Paints slipped 2.29% to close at 2,292. After this, shares of JSW Steel closed at 925.95 with a fall of 2.21%, while Bajaj Finance fell 2.21% and closed at 6,919. At the same time, shares of ICICI Bank closed at 1,287, falling 2.08%.
 

Big fall in Bank Nifty and IT

In today's trading session, due to buying in the pharma sector, the Nifty Pharma index closed at the highest level of 22,698 with a gain of 1.72%. Nifty FMCG closed at the level of 56,158, falling 0.55%. Nifty Auto closed at the level of 23,071, weakening by 0.73%. Bank Nifty closed at the level of 51,576, falling 1.08% and Nifty IT closed at the level of 44,954, falling 1.26%.
