Anand Mahindra, the carmaker and business tycoon, recently shared an awesome innovation on Twitter. He posted a promo video of the 'virtual axis' cycle seat, designed for extra comfort by the Australia-based startup AtaraxyBSC.

Mahindra wrote on X: "The cleverest inventions look so obvious in 'hind'sight.... Should be called the 3B: the BestBikeforyourBottom."

Cyclists often experience saddle discomfort, leading to soreness in the butt region and reduced ride duration.

So, ataraxyBSC developed the "world's first virtual axis bicycle seat" to address this issue.

The Idea's Genesis: This unique bicycle seat concept was developed in 2016.

According to NewAtlas, Australian engineer Robin Macan came up with the idea for a more comfortable bicycle seat in 2016.

He expressed his frustration as an infrequent bike rider at the lack of comfortable bicycle seats and felt there had to be a better way.

This led him to collaborate with industrial designer Philippe Guichard to further develop the idea.
Together, they worked with the Melbourne-based Whistle Design Group to bring the concept to life through Macan's startup firm.

Features & Benefits:

The VabsRider cycling saddle features a split design for independent leg movement. This design allows for dynamic and natural comfort and equal distribution of weight throughout the rider's pelvic area. Additionally, the seat post system allows for multiple adjustments, including changes in height, angle, and width.

The vabsRider saddle is not available for purchase yet, but it is expected to be released soon. Pricing and availability details are still being finalized. The saddle will offer cyclists the flexibility to customize their riding position for optimal comfort and performance.
