Now the health of an important MLA of Uddhav Thackeray's party Shiv Sena UBT has deteriorated. Uddhav Thackeray faction MLA Mahesh Sawant has been admitted to the hospital after complaining of chest pain. He has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. According to the information, Mahesh Sawant's angiography was done in which blockage was reported.

In the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024, Mahesh Sawant contested from Mahim Assembly seat on behalf of Shiv Sena UBT. On this seat, he defeated Shiv Sena's Sada Sarwankar and Raj Thackeray's son Amit Thackeray. Mahesh Sawant got 50,213 votes in the election. Sada Sarwankar was in second place with 48,897 votes and Amit Thackeray stood third with 33,062 votes.
Pressure on Uddhav to leave MVA
According to sources, Shiv Sena (UBT) is preparing to fight the upcoming municipal corporation and local body elections on its own. Party workers as well as candidates who lost and won the elections have urged Uddhav Thackeray to leave the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) soon. However, Uddhav Thackeray has not taken any decision yet. Eknath Shinde and forty MLAs with him have shocked Uddhav by rebelling due to forming a government with the Congress, so it remains to be seen what decision Uddhav takes now.
Who got how many seats?
In the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the BJP of Mahayuti has won 132 seats, NCP 41, and Shiv Sena 57 seats a (total of 230). On the other hand, Shiv Sena (UBT) of Mahavikas Aghadi has won 20 seats, Congress 16, and NCP (Sharad Chandra Pawar) 10 (total 46). The remaining 12 seats have been won by other parties or independents.
