Prashant Singh: From Bihar to Handicraft Success

He started his journey in a small village in Bihar. He studied in Patna and got a degree in Economics from Delhi University. By 1998, he was working at the Bank of Punjab, followed by jobs at IDBI Bank and in the retail sector. His career took him to Dubai, and later, he worked in Mumbai at a Dutch Bank and two insurance companies.

A New Path in 2013

In 2013, Prashant decided to follow a different dream. He started a handicrafts business called Haath Ka Bana, helping artisans create and sell handmade items online. This startup supports over 5000 artisans who make 75 different kinds of crafts.

Empowering Artisans

Haath Ka Bana is more than just an online store. It provides jobs and helps keep traditional Indian arts alive. The platform has created 700,000 workdays for artisans, allowing them to earn a living doing what they love.

Bridging Talents and Audiences

Prashant's journey began with making cricket-themed memorabilia. His vision was to make a real change for artisans. Haath Ka Bana connects talented craftsmen with people all over the world, celebrating India's rich heritage and providing artisans with a sustainable livelihood.
