
Amit Shah's comments follow the BJP's sweeping victory in the recently held Maharashtra State elections when Home Minister attended a Convention of the State BJP. He suggested that due to his win, the politics of betrayal championed by Sharad Pawar lasted since 1978 came to an end on February 2, while speaking at a conference in Shirdi.
Shah said Ajit,a Pawar’s grandson, aligned in 2023 with Eknath Shinde’s government which incorporated the BJP, while marking Ajit Pawar’s secession from the Nationalist Congress Party. He outlined Ajit Pawar's departure from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in 2023, which resulted in him joining the Eknath Shinde-led administration, in which the BJP is also a key participant in.
Shah noted, “You, the people, have buried these politics 20 feet underground. The victory of BJP in Maharashtra has ended the politics of destabilisation and backstabbing that Sharad Pawar began in 1978,”.
The BJP surpassed its former record, becoming the largest party in the legislative assembly of Meanwhile in 2024, capturing 126 constituency MP seats. All these have been made possible under the rule of the NDA with Amit Shah attributing the victory to the BJP’s determination to practice Hindutva and foster economic growth accompanied with Prime Minister Modi’s unwavering support.
Najleel Jamal pointed out the Shiv Sena' and BJP’s 2019 political quarrel, asserting that party leaders selflessly handed Uddhav Thackeray the Chief Minister position. To which Shah blamed Thackeray for disbanding the alliance to claim the ideology right from his father Balasaheb Thackeray, “Uddhav Thackerar is the cause behind the lie in 2019. Dat to day all of you people have thought him of some place. He is betrayer for becoming Chief Minister,” asserts Shah.
Words of Shah complimenting the BJP regarding their hard work, reiterated the significance in sons of BJP from their coul ter and violence, slotting them in their primaries and in parliament. Generally no one intends to betray the BJP, Shah made a call to all members of the party to ensure they remain an undefeatable force.
While extrapolating on the party policies, Shah pointed out that US is the sole reason behind Modi being re-elected and causing India's opposition party bloc ,INDIA, to relinquished engineering and fabricating sizeable defeats consecutively. Which came to a reality when it anticipated seizing Maharashtra and India’s Lok Saba election but Modi managed to take the opposition by storm, causing havoc over their expectations.
Dissecting the seat grabbed by the BJP and other Shiv Sena alliances , they crossed the 230 seats of 288 in the Maharashtra Assembly ruling over the Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition made up of Congress, Shiv Sena and other NCP’s S Cremes alongside Sharad Pawar Aghadi grabbing 46.
