Bihar:  Prashant Kishor's party Jansuraj has suffered a major setback today. Two prominent leaders resigned from the party's 125-member core committee. Former MP Devendra Prasad Yadav and former MP Munajir Hasan announced their resignation from the core committee and raised questions about the way the party works. However, both the leaders have said that they have resigned from the core committee and have not left the party yet.

The departure of Devendra Prasad Yadav and Munajir Hasan from the core committee has given rise to turmoil within the Jansuraj Party. Let us tell you that two years ago, on the day of Gandhi Jayanti, election strategist Prashant Kishore started his padayatra from Champaran. On completion of two years, Jansuraj was made a political party on 2 October. At that time, many big leaders including Prof. KC Sinha, Devendra Yadav, Munajir Hasan joined the party.

A crushing defeat in the by-election

On this day, Prashant Kishor also decided to field candidates for all four assembly seats in the by-elections. However, Prashant Kishor's party suffered a crushing defeat in the by-elections. His candidates had to remain at number three and number four. Today again Prashant Kishor's party is in the news, because two big faces of his party have left the core committee membership.

Prashant Kishor was earlier in the news as an election strategist. As an election strategist, PK worked for BJP and other parties. After this, he established Jansuraj and after two years of letter campaign, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, he announced to make it a political party.

Objective of Jansuraj Party

Prashant Kishore says that Jansuraj Party has been founded with the aim of bringing change in the politics of Bihar and taking steps towards better governance in the state. This party believes that the government should act as the voice of the people and this will lead to inclusive development in the society. Jansuraj Party has presented itself as an alternative politics, which describes itself as different from traditional political parties.
