Mumbai, February 27, 2025 – The BSE Sensex gave up its early gains and closed just 10.31 points higher at 74,612.43, while the NSE Nifty slipped 2.50 points to settle at 22,545.05, marking its seventh consecutive session of decline.
The market remained volatile throughout the day, influenced by foreign fund outflows, monthly derivatives expiry, and weak global market trends.
Market Performance: Early Gains Wiped Out by Volatility
The 30-share Sensex opened strong, gaining 231.97 points to reach 74,834.09 in early trading. Similarly, the Nifty climbed 65.75 points to touch 22,613.30.
However, selling pressure from foreign institutional investors (FIIs) and weak global cues led to a volatile trading session, causing both indices to flatten by closing.
