This is how Meesho started in the year 2015
Both the friends left their high paying jobs to start a business and dreamed of creating a fashion marketplace. Initially, both of them started Meesho's operation in a small two-room flat in Koramangala area of Bangalore in the year 2015. Their first office was their dining table.
Sanjeev and Vidit ran their business for some time with the help of social media only. Later they started their own platform Meesho. Meesho works on a unique business model. In this, "resellers", who are mostly housewives, sell goods in their social networks. "Sellers" create their own marketplace on the app. They used WhatsApp to interact with customers. They also linked their Facebook profile to Meesho.
Today Meesho has become a huge platform. Meesho started as a reselling platform for women entrepreneurs, helping them start their business and earn money. Without any initial investment, this social commerce platform has helped millions of entrepreneurs start their online business.
