
Wipro Limited on Monday, January 6 informed the exchanges that it will hold its board meeting on Friday, January 17 to announce its December quarter results. Along with its quarterly results, Wipro will also consider a proposal to issue an interim dividend to shareholders.
Wipro has announced the date of its October-December 2024 quarterly results. Along with the third quarter financial results, it may also announce dividend rewards for its shareholders.
Wipro Ltd shares closed at Rs 294.00 on Monday. The company's market cap is Rs 3.07 lakh crore. The stock has given a return of 32% to its investors in the last one year.
If the upcoming dividend is declared, it will be Wipro's first corporate action after the previously announced 1:1 bonus issue. The date for issuing bonus shares in the IT company's shares was December 3, 2024.
Wipro said in an exchange filing on Monday that Wipro said that the next meeting of its board of directors will be held on January 16-17, 2025 to consider and approve the company's unaudited consolidated financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2024.
Wipro said the financial results will be approved by the board of directors on the evening of January 17, 2025.
The company may declare dividend
Wipro Ltd may also consider and approve interim dividend for the financial year 2025 along with its third quarter financial results. Wipro said, "It is further notified that the trading window for dealing in the company's securities is closed from December 25, 2024 to January 19, 2025 (both days inclusive).
Wipro has recently issued 1:1 bonus shares. It was its first such corporate action in the last 24 years. The company had announced bonus shares while announcing the quarterly earnings for July-September 2024. It is noteworthy that this was Wipro's first such corporate action in the last 5 years.
Wipro has rewarded its shareholders with three bonus issues since 2000. The company's most recent bonus issue was in 2019, in which shareholders were given free shares in the ratio of 1:3, that is, one bonus share for every three shares. Earlier, a bonus issue was announced in 2017.
