New Delhi: Before Diwali, many companies in the country have presented their results for the second quarter of the financial year 2025. This includes the name of the leading IT company Wipro. Wipro released the results for the July-September 2024 quarter on Thursday. The company has registered a 21 percent increase in net profit for the reported quarter, after which it has increased to Rs 3,209 crore, whereas during the same quarter last year, it was recorded at Rs 2,646 crore.
At the same time, there has been a slight decline in revenue from operations. Wipro's revenue from operations for the July-September 2024 quarter stood at Rs 22,302 crore, which was recorded at Rs 22,516 crore in the second quarter of the last financial year. Apart from this, the company has also announced the issuance of bonus shares for its shareholders.

Wipro's board will issue bonus shares to its shareholders in the ratio of 1:1. The company said in an exchange filing, "As of the record date, a bonus issue of 1 (one) ADS for 1 (one) fully paid-up equity share and 1 (one) ADS [stock dividend on American Depositary Shares (ADSs)], subject to the approval of the members of the company. The record date for calculating the eligible shareholders (including ADS holders) entitled to receive bonus shares will be announced later." Please note that the company has not yet announced the record date. The estimated date for depositing/dispatching the bonus shares has been announced within 2 months from the date of board approval, which is December 15, 2024.

Let us tell you that on Friday, October 18, Wipro's shares have registered a good rise. The company's shares have risen 5 percent today after the announcement of second-quarter results and bonus share issuance. The shares touched the day's highest level of Rs 558.40, up 5 percent from its previous close of Rs 528.75.
