The syllabus of the primary teacher recruitment exam has been determined by the Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Service Selection Commission as follows. According to the information received, a 150-minute OMR-based exam will be conducted, that is, all the questions will be of multiple choice type. The number of questions will also be 150. Each question will be of 1 mark. Language-related questions will be asked. Which includes English, Sanskrit, Social Science, Mathematics, Hindi, and Social Studies. 

Detailed notification of MP TET released 

Madhya Pradesh Education Department has issued a notification for the Joint Eligibility Test 2024 for Primary Teachers. The process of online application will start from 01 October 2024. The last date for online application has been fixed as 15 October 2024. The date for amendment in the application is fixed between 01 October to 20 October 2024. The CBT-based examination will be conducted in two shifts from 10 November. The application fee for unreserved category candidates is Rs 500 and the application fee for reserved category OBC, EWS, Scheduled Caste, and Scheduled Tribe category candidates of Madhya Pradesh is Rs 250. 

TET exam will be conducted first 

More than 6 months have passed since the formation of the Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Service Commission. The new examination controller and chairman have also been appointed. However, the date of the written examination for the posts of TGT PGT and Assistant Professor has not been announced yet. After the appointment of the examination controller, preparations for conducting the UP TGT PGT examination have intensified. If media reports are to be believed, the examination for more than 4 thousand vacant posts of TGT PGT can be conducted by the end of next month. Based on this the online application process will start soon. Applications will be taken online. After that, the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test date will be announced. The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test can be conducted in multiple shifts for more than one day. The candidates of the General and EWS categories must score 90 marks to pass the TET exam. At the same time, candidates of the OBC SC ST category have been given relaxation in passing marks. The recruitment process of primary teachers will be able to start only after the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted. However, the exam calendar will be released by the Higher Education Service Selection Commission. The syllabus will be released only after that. 

Thousands of primary teacher posts are to be filled in Uttar Pradesh. No new primary teacher recruitment has been conducted in the last 6 years. Earlier, while hearing the 69000 teacher recruitment case, the Supreme Court has upheld the High Court's decision. Along with this, a reply has also been sought from the Uttar Pradesh government in this matter. The Supreme Court was hearing the petition of unreserved category candidates in the teacher recruitment case on Monday. The next hearing in this case was fixed on 23 September in the SC, but the hearing could not take place on this day.

Supreme Court needs time to study HC's decision.

While hearing the matter, the SC said that it needs time to study the High Court's decision. Earlier, the Allahabad High Court in its decision had ordered the UP government to cancel the selected lists of June 2020 and January 2022. Along with this, based on the (ATRE) Assistant Teacher Recruitment Examination held in 2019, a newly selected list of 69 thousand teachers was ordered to be released within three months.

The High Court had also said that if a reserved category candidate achieves merit equal to that of the general category, then his selection should be considered in the general category only. Due to this order of the HC, a large number of teachers working in UP were in danger of losing their jobs.

This decision of the High Court was opposed by the selected candidates of the unreserved category. The candidates had filed a petition in the Supreme Court against this decision. A 3-member bench headed by the Chief Justice has heard this petition.

A new chairman has been appointed in the Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Service Selection Commission. However, the Controller of Examinations has not been appointed yet. It is not possible to conduct any examination in the Higher Education Service Selection Commission without the appointment of the Controller of Examinations. Earlier, applications were received for recruitment to more than 4 thousand posts in Graduate Level Teacher Examination TGT and Post Graduate Level Teacher Recruitment Examination PGT, but the written examination has not been conducted yet nor the exam date has been announced. According to the information released, the Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Service Selection Commission can examine Assistant Professor and TGT PGT posts in the last week of October. Soon the exam date can be announced on the official website of TGT PGT and Assistant Professor examination. The chairman told the media that the examination for the posts of Assistant Professor and TGT PGT will be conducted by the end of this year. The exam schedule of the commission will also be released soon.

When will the exam calendar be released? 

After the formation of the Higher Education Service Selection Commission, now the old recruitment for which applications have been taken but the examination has not been conducted. There is a demand to declare the exam date for those posts. 12 members of the Higher Education Service Selection Commission have also been appointed. However, the chairman was not appointed yet. But now the new chairman has been appointed. The formation of the UP Education Service Commission was approved in the meeting of the UP Cabinet held in August 2023 under the chairmanship of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Its headquarters has been established in Prayagraj. The new Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission will have a chairman and 12 members. The chairman and members will be appointed for three years from the day of assuming office or till the age of 65 years. No person will be able to become chairman or member more than twice.

Provision has been made in the rules of Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission Act 2023 issued on 13 December 2023, till now, only questions of the concerned subject were not asked in the examination for teacher recruitment, but now general knowledge questions will also be asked in the examination for 2 hours, this will test the general knowledge along with the subject knowledge of the candidates, although it is not clear in the rules that how many questions will be asked from the concerned subject and how many questions will be asked from general knowledge, the recruitment of Trained Graduate TGT will be done only based on written examination. The recruitment of Lecturer PGT will be conducted through written examination as well as interview, 90% of the total marks will be added for the written examination and 10% of the total marks will be added in the interview.
