The Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) will announce the much-awaited GATE 2025 results on March 19, 2025. Candidates who appeared for the exam between February 1 and 16, 2025, can check their results on the official website: gate2025.iitr.ac.in by submitting their login credentials (enrollment/application number and password).

Once the results are out, candidates can access their scorecards, which will be valid for 3 years from the date of the result announcement. Scorecards will be available for free download from March 28 to May 31, 2025. After this period, candidates will need to pay a fee of Rs 500 per test paper to download the scorecard.

Follow these steps to easily access your GATE result:

  1. Visit the official website: Go to gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
  2. Click on the result link: Look for the GATE 2025 result link on the homepage.
  3. Enter your login credentials: Provide your application/enrollment number and password.
  4. View your result: Your GATE result will be displayed on the screen.
  5. Download and save the result: Ensure you download and save the result for future reference.

What to Do If You Forget Your Login Details

If you have forgotten your login credentials, follow these steps to reset your password:

  2. Click on "Forgot Password": Select the "Forgot Password" option on the login page.
  3. Enter your registered details: Provide your email ID or enrollment ID.
  4. Follow the instructions: Check your email for the password reset link.
  5. Create a new password: Set a new password and confirm it.
  6. Log in again: Use the new password to access your GATE result.

Negative Marking in GATE 2025

  • Yes, negative marking will be applicable in MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions).
    • For a 1-mark MCQ, ⅔ mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer.
    • For a 2-mark MCQ, ⅔ mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer.
  • There will be no negative marking for MSQ (Multiple Select Questions) and NAT (Numerical Answer Type) questions.
