Ayodhya Deepotsav 2024: The first Deepawali after Lord Ramlala is enthroned in the new temple in Ayodhya is going to be very grand and divine. Under the able guidance of CM Yogi, preparations are on to set a new world record this time too in the Deepotsav program of Ayodhya, which has made its mark as a unique event in the whole world. More than 25 lakh diyas will be lit on 55 ghats on Chhoti Deepawali in Ramnagari, which is being led by Prof. Pratibha Goyal, Vice Chancellor of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University herself.

Apart from them, the university administration has made preparations to engage 30 thousand volunteers, with whose help the name of Ayodhya Dham will be recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records for the seventh time. The special thing is that to achieve the target of lighting 25 lakh diyas, 28 lakh diyas will be lit by the university administration.

Final touches begin to be given to preparations for Deepotsav

As per the wishes of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the first Deepotsav after the Pran Pratishtha of Lord Shri Ram will be made historic. The university administration has geared up to make the eighth Deepotsav grand. The preparations for Deepotsav have started being finalized.

The date of registration for participation in Deepotsav has been extended. Now registration for participation can be done till 15th October. Apart from this, the Deepotsav ID card of volunteers is also being finalized. Distribution of ID cards to volunteers will start from 20th October.

The work of marking the Ghats will start soon.

Regarding the preparations for Deepotsav, nodal coordinator Prof. SS Mishra said that 28 lakh diyas will be lit on 55 ghats of Ram Paidi with the target of lighting 25 lakh diyas given by the Uttar Pradesh government, for which 30 thousand volunteers will be deployed. 14 colleges, 37 inter colleges, 40 NGOs including the university campus are included. The mapping work has been started by the university. From 17th or 18th October, the marking work will be done by the workers on the ghats.

90 thousand liters of oil will be used

According to the plan, 30 ml mustard oil will be poured in 30 ml diyas in 16 x 16 blocks on all the ghats of Ram ki Paidi. A total of 90 thousand liters of mustard oil will be used in all the diyas, the arrangements for which are being completed with the help of the district administration.

Registration for participation in Deepotsav will be completed by 15 October. Distribution of I-cards of volunteers will start from 20 October. From 26 October, the consignment of diyas will start arriving at the Ghats. From 27 October, volunteers will spread diyas on the Ghats and will create a world record by lighting diyas on 30 October. Media in-charge Dr. Vijayendu Chaturvedi said that with the cooperation of the district administration and the university, the works are being finalized to make Deepotsav a historic one.
