New Delhi: Under the schemes of Self Reliant India and Make in India , Indian Navy has recently taken over the sixth Scorpene class submarine Vagsheer. This submarine will be used in commissioning of the Indian Navy by the name of INS Vagsheer. The killer submarine Vagsheer is in the final stages of its commissioning as the Vagsheer submarines have been conducting sea trials since 18 May last year as stated by a naval official.

These submarines are equipped with maximum level of automation together with an Integrated Platform Management System together with combat management systems that serve as an executive vessel. A template that joins systems, equipment and equipment is even more impressive.

Some of the key features of Vagsheer are as follows:

This class of submarine boasts the capability of striking the enemy with great precision.

This includes launching a sustained underwater or surface assault using anti-ship missiles.

“Vaghshir” has multi-faceted mission capabilities like anti-surface warfare, anti-submarine warfare, intel gathering, area denial and more.

It embodies an extensive range of operational capabilities across the expected area of operations and facilitates compatibility with other elements of the naval task group.

This powerful platform is revolutionizing the nature of operations with submarines.

The cutting-edge capabilities include enhanced acoustic silence systems, low emitted sound values, hydrodynamic shape, as well as enabling direct engagement with the adversary utilizing precision guided munitions.

To improve the stealth capabilities of this lethal platform, considerable effort has been put into loss of acoustic, optical, electromagnetic and infrared detection ranges.

These submarine characteristics enhanced its invulnerability in a way that only few submarines in the world can replicate. Also, the Vaghsheer unlike the five other boats has its own formed air conditioning systems, internal communication and broadcasting systems, primary battery, as well the Ku band satellite communication integrated.
