The series of bomb threats on the planes of various airlines across the country has been going on for several days. On Monday night also, 35 flights of Indigo, Vistara, Akasa, and Air India have received bomb threats. According to sources of news agency PTI, 30 domestic and international flights operated by Indian airlines received bomb threats. Sources related to the matter told the agency that those who received bomb threats include flights of Indigo, Vistara, Akasa, and Air India. Let us tell you that in the last 8 days, more than 120 planes have received bomb threats.

A Vistara spokesperson said, "We confirm that some Vistara flights scheduled to operate on October 21, 2024,, have received security threats on social media. We have immediately alerted the relevant authorities and are following all security procedures as prescribed by them. At Vistara, the safety of our customers, crew, and aircraft is of utmost importance."

Air India also received threats

At the same time, an Air India spokesperson also confirmed that some Air India flights flying on Monday had received threats. Following the prescribed protocol, the concerned authorities were immediately alerted and all security procedures were strictly followed as per the guidance of regulatory authorities and security agencies.

A bomb threat is a rumor, but cannot be taken lightly: Minister

Over 120 flights of Indian airlines have received bomb threats in the past week. Civil Aviation Minister K Ramamohan Naidu on Monday said the bomb threats were rumors but they cannot be taken lightly. Meanwhile, the government is planning legislative action to deal with bomb threats to airlines, including putting offenders on a no-fly list.
