New Delhi: India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval is on a visit to Beijing. His visit is considered important in many ways. The purpose of this meeting is to completely resolve the LAC dispute and restore mutual relations. According to government sources, this conversation is very important after the recent agreement on LAC.
Meeting held after 5 years
On Wednesday, Doval held a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, this meeting took place after about 5 years. The last meeting between the representatives of the two countries was held in December 2019. In 2020, tensions were seen in relations between India and China after the Ladakh dispute.
The NSA's visit is taking place at a time when both the countries have agreed to withdraw their troops from Demchok and Depsang areas. According to reports, patrolling has also started from both sides. 21 rounds of meetings of Corps Commanders have been held to resolve this dispute, apart from this, several rounds of talks have also been held at the diplomatic level.
What did China say on Doval's visit?
The Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday that China is ready to work with India to implement the important consensus reached between the leaders of the two countries and bring bilateral relations back on track as soon as possible. Beijing also stressed on respecting each other's core interests and major concerns, strengthening mutual trust through dialogue and communication, and properly resolving differences with sincerity and goodwill. India has said many times before that returning to the situation of April 2020 would be the first step towards a solution. Apart from the G20, India's importance in BRICS, SCO and Quad has also forced China to retreat. Now it remains to be seen how much the relations between the two countries improve after this conversation.
