There is severe cold in most parts of the country including Uttar Pradesh. After the rain in UP, the temperature of cold has increased further. According to a report published in Hindustan, an order has been issued to keep schools up to class 8 closed in two districts including Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh today (28 December 2024). 

According to the report, in view of the rain and severe cold, an order has been issued to keep schools up to class 8 closed on 28 December in Meerut and Saharanpur. This order has been issued by the DM. On the instructions of the DM, the District Basic Officer i.e. BSA announced a holiday in schools from nursery to class 8. At the same time, holiday has been declared in schools up to class 12 in Muzaffarnagar. Let us tell you that tomorrow i.e. 29 December 2024 is Sunday, so if seen, it has become a two-day holiday for the children.

Winter vacation in these states too

Let us tell you that winter holidays have already been announced in Delhi, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir. Recently, the Rajasthan government also announced winter vacation in schools from December 25 and winter vacation has also been announced in Haryana, a state adjacent to Delhi.

When will the winter vacation start in Haryana

Just yesterday, the Haryana Education Department announced that winter vacation is starting in all government, recognized and aided schools in the state from January 1, which will last till January 15, 2025. It also said that schools will reopen on January 16, 2025. Haryana 

The Haryana Education Department shared a post on the social media platform X. The post on X read, "Haryana Education Department has issued orders that all schools in the state will have winter vacations from January 1 to January 15. Schools will reopen on January 16, 2025."
