A big news has come out from Delhi University. According to information received from a Delhi University official, DU has decided to postpone the examinations for law students. Let us tell you that this decision has been taken a day after the protest started in the Law Centre Campus (CLC) of Delhi University regarding the exam dates. According to the information received from the official, the new dates of the examination have not been announced yet.
On Monday, a clash broke out between students and police at the Law Faculty of DU during a demonstration by law students against the exam schedule. The students claimed that the police lathicharged them and also fired tear gas shells to disperse them. As a result, many students were injured. However, Delhi Police has denied these claims of the students.
New dates will be announced after consultation
According to university officials, the date sheet of upcoming exams scheduled to begin from December 26 has been put on hold. They said new exam dates will be announced after consultation with all concerned stakeholders. DU Proctor Rajni Abbi said, "For now, we have only blocked the date sheet of the exams. The exams will not be held on the previously scheduled date i.e. December 26. We will make new arrangements after consultation with DU's examination branch and will release a new date sheet soon."
