New Delhi: Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in the House Rahul Gandhi is often in controversies over his statements, after which the BJP gets another opportunity to corner him. Rahul, who was recently in the news for his statements about Indian Sikhs in the US, has now said something about the Ayodhya Ram Mandir inauguration ceremony held on January 22 this year, to which the BJP has reacted sharply. In the video, Rahul Gandhi is seen criticizing the central government for turning the consecration of Ayodhya Ram Mandir into a celebrity event. In the video, Rahul Gandhi said, 'They (central government) invited Amitabh Bachchan, Adani, Ambani and other celebrities. Was there even a single farmer there? Or laborer? There was only dancing going on.' Rahul Gandhi's comments immediately drew reactions from the BJP, which questioned Rahul's faith and stance on Hindu rituals.

BJP leader Tirath Singh Rawat said, "Perhaps (Rahul Gandhi) has not yet understood Indian culture. When he will be able to point out Indian culture, he will understand all (these rituals)... common people were involved in that celebration."
