Eligibility Criteria for India Post GDS Recruitment

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Age: Between 18 and 40 years.
  • Educational Qualification: A Class-10 pass certificate with Mathematics and English as subjects from a recognized board.
  • Local Language Proficiency: Candidates should have proficiency in the local language up to Class-10 level.
  • Other Skills: Basic computer knowledge is required, along with the ability to ride a bicycle or two-wheeler. A separate source of livelihood is also mandatory.

As per the notification, "A Sevak (Gramin Dak Sevak) should have another source of income besides the allowances provided by the Government for adequate means of livelihood."

Selection Process for India Post GDS Recruitment

The selection process does not include a written exam. Instead, candidates will be selected based on a system-generated merit list, which will be calculated using the percentage of marks obtained in the 10th standard (up to four decimal places).

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for document verification and, if necessary, a basic medical fitness test.
