Donald Trump, the President-elect who will take office on January 20, has made known a change in the plans for his swearing-in ceremony, which will be held in the United States Capitol Rotunda in front of a large crowd. While giving his statements, he apologised for the abrupt changes and took it upon himself to explain to people why he moved the events inside the spacious Capitol Rotunda.
The scenario is quite similar to one that Ronald Reagan encountered when he took the oath indoors due to the inclement weather, back in the year 1985, but this time, Trump was confident that his supporters were still going to find the inauguration a once-in-a-lifetime event and was going to include the Presidential Parade alongside the other programs such as the live show at the Capital One Arena.
He published a statement on Providing Social Truth which read, “January 20th cannot come fast enough! … I think One of my duties to my people is to make sure they feel protected, but now that we have even begun, The focus should shift to the inauguration events… ” Providing Social Truth also reported that Trump said, “Weather forecast for Washington, DC is for the windchill factor to plunge to record lows. For this reason, I have instructed that the inauguration address as well as the prayers and other speeches should be given in the United States Capitol Rotunda, as was the case for Ronald Reagan in 1985 because of extreme low temperatures. Various dignitaries and guests will be brought to the Capitol.”
Inundate yourself with this news, as on Monday, Donald Trump will take his place as the 47th president of America. Prior to this, he held the position of the 45th president from 2017 to 2021.
