New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi on Sunday to check on the health of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, who was admitted after experiencing chest pain and uneasiness.

PM Modi also prayed for the Vice President’s speedy recovery and shared his concern on social media.

"Went to AIIMS and enquired about the health of Vice President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar Ji. I pray for his good health and speedy recovery."

Vice President Dhankhar’s Health Condition

  • The 73-year-old Vice President was admitted to the Critical Care Unit (CCU) under the care of Dr. Rajiv Narang, Head of Cardiology at AIIMS.
  • He was brought to the hospital at 2 a.m. and has since undergone successful stent implantation.
  • Sources confirm that he is stable and under close medical observation.

Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda also visited AIIMS earlier in the day to inquire about the Vice President’s health, according to news agency IANS.

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also extended his prayers, posting:

  • Addressing students at Jan Nayak Chaudhary Devi Lal Vidyapeeth (JCD) in Sirsa, Dhankhar urged them to overcome the fear of failure.
  • "Failure is a myth and nothing else. We must always put the nation first. There can be no interest higher than national interest."
