New Delhi: Police has arrested Suresh Chandrakar, the prime accused in the murder of journalist Mukesh Chandrakar of Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. Cyber ​​police and SIT team of Bijapur have arrested Suresh Chandrakar from Hyderabad. An officer said that to catch the accused, call details of about 300 mobiles and footage of 200 CCTV cameras were examined. Then it was found that he was hiding in Hyderabad. After this, the team of Bijapur and SIT reached Hyderabad and arrested him.

Police has made Suresh Chandrakar the main accused in the journalist murder case. An 11-member SIT is investigating this case. Police has also seized Suresh's bank accounts in this case. According to police, on January 1, Suresh Chandrakar's brother Ritesh called the journalist and asked him to come to his hideout. When Mukesh Chandrakar reached the place mentioned by him, supervisor Mahendra and brother Ritesh brutally murdered him. There were serious knife wounds on his body. After committing the crime, his body was thrown into a septic tank.

Two accused already arrested

The police have already arrested Ritesh Chandrakar, supervisor Mahendra Ramteke and Dinesh Chandrakar in the case of tampering with evidence. Now Bijapur police has arrested accused Suresh Chandrakar from Hyderabad. It is being told that the main accused Suresh Chandrakar was hiding at his driver's place in Hyderabad. To reach the main accused, the police scanned 200 CCTV cameras and traced about 300 mobile numbers, only then the main accused Suresh Chandrakar could be arrested.

Killed for exposing corruption

Journalist Mukesh Chandrakar had exposed corruption worth crores in a road construction in Bijapur. Suresh Chandrakar had taken the contract for the construction of this road. Mukesh Chandrakar had raised questions on the road construction and its tender process. Meanwhile, journalist Mukesh Chandrakar was murdered on January 1. The crime was committed by Suresh Chandrakar's brother Ritesh Chandrakar and supervisor Mahendra Ramteke. Police found the journalist's body in a septic tank three days later.
