A video of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tej Pratap Yadav instructing a policeman to dance during a Holi celebration at his Patna residence has gone viral, triggering sharp criticism from NDA leaders.

In the clip, Tej Pratap can be heard telling the policeman:

"Ae Sipahi, ek gana bajayenge usme tumko thumka lagana hai. Bura na mano Holi hai. Thumka lagao nahi toh suspend kar diye jaoge."
(Hey, policeman, a song will be played, and you have to dance. Don’t mind, it's Holi. Dance or you will be suspended.)

Shortly after, Tej Pratap himself starts singing, and the policeman reluctantly raises his hands and appears to dance.

NDA Leaders Slam Tej Pratap: "Jungle Raj Mentality"

Janata Dal (United) [JD(U)] and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders have strongly condemned the incident, calling it a reflection of RJD's "Jungle Raj" culture.

JD(U) Response:

JD(U) spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan Prasad said:

"‘Jungle raj’ has ended, but Lalu Yadav’s prince is still issuing threats. Bihar has changed now. Tejashwi, Tej Pratap, and other RJD leaders must understand that such acts have no place in today’s Bihar."

BJP Response:

BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla drew a parallel with Lalu Yadav’s tenure:

"Like father, like son. Lalu Yadav made the law dance to his tunes when he was CM, and now his son is doing the same. He is threatening a policeman with suspension for not dancing. This proves RJD still believes in Jungle Raj."

BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain also slammed Tej Pratap:

"He asked his bodyguard to dance or face suspension. He has no authority to suspend anyone. This is Nitish Kumar’s government, not Jungle Raj."

Congress Ally Condemns Tej Pratap

Even Congress leader Rashid Alvi, an RJD ally, criticized the incident:

"I condemn his statement. He doesn’t even have the power to suspend a policeman. Saying such things is unfortunate."

Tej Pratap Yadav’s Helmet-Less Scooty Ride Sparks Another Controversy

Meanwhile, another viral video of Tej Pratap surfaced, showing him riding a scooter without a helmet, calling out for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, whom he mockingly referred to as “Paltu Chacha”.

Tej Pratap was accompanied by supporters, also riding without helmets, chanting "Tej Pratap Bhaiya Zindabad".
The video also showed traffic violations, including three passengers on bikes and a police personnel riding without a helmet.

BJP spokesperson Kuntal Krishna slammed Tej Pratap:

"Tej Pratap Yadav is acting in line with RJD’s culture. His parents’ rule was filled with lawlessness—security personnel were made to sing, officers were forced to apply tobacco. He has forgotten that RJD is no longer in power."

RJD Faces Political Heat Over Tej Pratap’s Actions

With Bihar’s political landscape heating up, Tej Pratap Yadav’s actions have given the NDA fresh ammunition to target RJD. The controversy over the Holi incident and traffic violations underscores the ongoing battle between Nitish Kumar’s government and the RJD-led opposition.
