During the distribution of the tokens used for temple entry for the Vaikunta Dwara Sarva Darshan, a stampede occurred in Madhya Pradesh's Vishnu Nivas and resulted in the deaths of four people and injury of many more.

Devastating news was shared by Chief Minister Chandrababu who said in a statement ,“Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed his deep shock over the death of the devotees in the stampede that took place near Vishnu Niwasam in Tirupati during the distribution of darshan tokens at Tirumala Srivari Vaikuntha Dwara, ”.

Internally, Ms Naidu dialed to the higher officials in order to Chiefo Minister Naidu’s voice and expressed her concern over the treatments being provided to the injured residents at the Venkateswara Vasantha Mandap, during her speech.

As per the visuals, many women were seen scrambling and fighting for the tickets to attend the January 10 opening of the temple which led to many injuries and deaths, due to the lower availability of tickets for the Vaikunta Dwara which did not cater to the large number of people that attended the event.

Internet was flooded with videos showing women devotees receiving CPR from police, and injured individuals being loaded on to the ambulances.
